Animated Star Trek teleporting to DVD

TV Shows on DVD[1], via Toon Zone[2], reveals that Filmation’s Star Trek: The Animated Series, the first Star Trek spin-off, could be released on DVD in 2005. “Plans are…underway for a DVD box-set of Star Trek: The Animated Series, with commentaries from cast and writers,” states David Gerrold, a writer on both the animated and original Star Trek incarnations, in his weblog[3]. The series, airing first in 1973, has been previously released on VHS and laser disc.
