Okay, let the bad pirate/ship puns begin: this summer’s surprise Disney blockbuster Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl hits the shiny movie disc format on December 2nd. The always excellent DVD File is first online with a full review of the disc, which should please long-time DisneyLand fans with its in-depth look at the making of the original attraction. There’s an 18 minute excerpt from the television special that showcases Walt talking about how the ride came together, as well as another 18 minutes of deleted movie scenes, a documentary, a treasure trove of featurettes and DVD-ROM fun (including original ride sketches) and no less than three commentary tracks. All this, plus DTS Surround Sound – enough wondrous booty for everyone!
