Haunted Mansion not so haunted?

Though Pirates Of The Caribbean was let off very lightly from the critical and commercial disaster that was The Country Bears, it seems that any ride-inspired film to come out from the gates of Walt Disney Pictures will be forever more compared to that Johnny Depp-led behemoth. Perhaps not letting the film speak for itself, Cinescape reviews[1] The Haunted Mansion, just released, in what has turned out to be a packed season for family and effects driven films. The Internet Movie Database[2] also has a run down of the general reception the film has received from critics.
