Frank And Ollie, the 1995 documentary film that peeks into the extraordinary Disney careers and personal lives of animators Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, was put in “wide release” on November 18th, though copies have been very hard to find. Stores such as Target, KMART, Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City and Blockbuster seem not to have heard anything about the title, as of earlier this week, so your best bet is to buy online via Amazon.com.

The disc is well worth tracking down, as DVD Toons reports in a new in-depth review, which confirms that the film is enhanced in 16×9 anamorphic widescreen. However, you should be aware that the Runaway Brain short, that was hinted at in the full specs we posted recently, is not on this disc. “Note that, despite early claims, I couldn’t find the short anywhere, not even as an Easter Egg”, as I say in my review. If anyone does find it, please let us know!
